Kiko Power Pro Nail Lacquer : 90 Multicolour Mauve ~ Review & Swatch

Kiko has an amazing nail polish collection, both in low price range and high range and I own a few Kiko Milano nail polish (Haul post HERE). The shade selection in every range is vast. Kiko Milano keeps launching new makeup collection every now and then and last year added a few shades to its Power Pro range. I have reviewed a limited edition nail lacquer from this range- shade Mermaid Pink HERE, and in this post I am reviewing another recently launched shade from the collection – 90 Multicolour Mauve.

Price: Rs 550 for 11 ml

Shelf life: 3 years

Kiko Power Pro Special Nail Lacquer 90 Multicolour Mauve Review

  • Kiko Milano Power Pro nail lacquer comes in cuboidal glass packaging with double cap and rounded edges. The outer rounded square cap removes to reveal an easy grip striated brush cap. Kiko Milano logo is engraved on top of both the caps.
  • Shade number is written at the back on the peel off sticker booklet. Kiko doesnot write shade names, but only numbers on their products.
  • The brush is amazing. It is larger than normal ones, densely packed with rounded edge and follows the shape of nails without staining the skin. The brush helps a lot in fast and mess-free application. Full points for the brush.
  • Consistency of Power Pro nail lacquer is neither thick, nor runny and pigmentation is rich. It takes 2 coats for full opacity.
  • Like almost all Kiko Milano nailpolish, Power Pro nail lacquer dries really fast.
  • The shade Multicolor Mauve 90 is a beautiful copper, red and golden shimmer suspended in mauve base. The mauve tones are more visible in single coat and with two coats the copper shimmer overpowers the mauve base color. The shimmer is very heavy and the overall color looks beautiful, especially in direct light/ flash.
  • I don’t think the shade is VERY extraordinary (unlike THIS shade by Kiko), and you can find a dupe in Indian market easily.
  • Wear time is 4-5 days without chipping, which is impressive.
  • This is bit expensive but the quantity is big.
  • The shade Multicolour Mauve 90 looks elegant yet modern and makes a perfect fall color. It can be carried off by women of all age groups.

Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer – 530 Pearly Blue Peacock: Review & Swatch

Kiko is now my favorite nailpolish brand available in India. The quality of Kiko Milano nail polish is top notch and the shade selection is huge. If you enter Kiko Milano store you will definitely find the color you’re looking for. Besides nailpolish, Kiko also has a vast makeup section. I have the Kiko Milano Velvet Passion Matte lipstick (reviewed HERE), which is one of my fav matte formulations. You can check the other products I picked  in my Haul Post HERE.

In this post I’m reviewing Kiko nail lacquer in shade 530 (Pearly Blue Peacock), which my absolute fav color and if I had to pick one nailpolish for life, this color would be it.

Price: Rs 290 for 11 ml

Expiry: 3 years

Kiko Nail Lacquer 530 Pearly Blue Peacock Review

  • Kiko Milano nail lacquer comes in cuboidal packaging with long black  cap.
  • Shade number is written at the back on the peel off sticker booklet. Kiko doesnot write shade names, but only numbers on their products. I picked the shade name for this nailpolish from their official website.
  • The brush is long and decent, not very thin not thick. It picks enough nailpolish for one coat application.
  • Kiko Nail lacquer 530 Pearly Blue Peacock is  gorgeous peacock blue color with gold and green shimmer. The shimmer reflects the light beautifully in direct light/ flash, and the swatches do not do justice to the beauty.
  • Consistency of this nail lacquer is neither thick, nor runny and pigmentation is decent, goes opaque in 2-3 coats.
  • Kiko nail polishes are quick drying and you dont have to wait much before applying coats (if you apply thin coats)
  • Shade 530 Pearly Blue Peacock is a one its kind color and you will probably not find exact shade in other brands. The shade reminds of water and mermaids. Some other mermaid-y blue shades I have reviewed are : Kiko Milano nail lacquer 521Nykaa Unicorn Potion Nail Enamel Mystical Mermaid
  • Wear time is 4-5 days without chipping, which is impressive.
  • Pricewise the nail lacquer is not expensive and the quantity is big. However, availability might be an issue as Indian stores donot stock this range now.
  • If you love blue nails, definitely DEFINITELY check this shade if you can.

Kiko Milano Holographic Nailpolish : 001 ~ Review & Swatch

Kiko Milano is currently my favorite nailpolish brand and I have hoarded so many nailpolish over time (Haul post HERE :P). Kiko Milano keeps launching new collections and the Holographic collection was launched quite sometime back. I have reviewed the shade ‘004‘ previously in THIS post and recently I came across this silver shade from the same collection. Kiko Milano has some good offers and discounts so keep an eye if you have a store nearby. Although this collection is mostly out of stock now as it was a limited edition, you can still get a few shades and that too at half price than when it was newly launched.

Price: Rs 270 for 10 ml

(Rs 550 when it was newly launched)

Kiko Milano Holographic nail lacquer 001 review

  • Kiko Milano Holographic Nail Lacquer comes in round glass bottle with black cap. The cap is removable and the brush cap underneath is striated for better grip..
  • Shade number and other details are stickered at the back in form of booklet (which has 6 pages btw!).
  • Kiko Milano doesnot have names for its products, only numbers.
  • The brush is short and not too wide but picks up enough quantity for one coat application.
  • Pigmentation is slightly sheer and formula is smooth and easy to apply. It builds to full opacity in 2-3 coats, depending on how thick coats you apply.
  • It dries fairly quickly and there is no waiting between application of  multiple coats.
  • Kiko Milano Holographic nail polish in shade 001 is a light grey color with beautiful holographic microshimmer. The holo effect is heavily visible under  sunlight/ flash and faintly visible indoors. Shade 004 has more prominent holo effect than this one. Indoors, shade 001 looks light grey color with slight pearl finish
  • The holo effect is not in-your-face kind, but is subtle and fine.  I have taken pics under different lighting to show the depth of holo.
  • Wear time is 4-5 days without chipping.
  • Price wise this is not expensive for the quantity.
  • If you are not much into holo effect and like glitter nailpolish more, do check out a beautiful silver nailpolish from Lakme  HERE.

Kiko Power Pro Special Nail Lacquer : 94 Mermaid Pink ~ Review & Swatch

Kiko has an amazing nail polish collection and it keeps launching new limited edition makeup range every now and then. So after the Glitter Metal range and Holographic range of nailpolish, I am reviewing the recently launched Power Pro Special Nail lacquer collection in the shade 94 Mermaid Pink. Only two colors were launched in the ‘Special’ range and the other one is 95 Mermaid Violet.

Price: Rs 550 for 11 ml

Shelf life: 3 years

Kiko Power Pro Special Nail Lacquer 94 Mermaid Pink Review

  • Kiko Milano Power Pro nail lacquer comes in rounded cuboidal glass packaging with double cap.
  • Consistency of Power Pro Special nail lacquer is neither thick, nor runny and pigmentation is slightly sheer. The normal Power Pro nail polish, however, has slightly creamy texture and insanely rich pigmentation. The ‘Special’ nailpolish being slightly sheer, it takes 2-3 coats for full opacity.
  • Like almost all Kiko Milano nailpolish, Power Pro nail lacquer dries really fast.
  • The shade Mermaid Pink 94 is a beautiful light peach-pink color with two toned pearlescent effect, similar to the effect of mother of pearl. There is a slight shift in color to purple which looks beautiful.
  • I don’t think the shade is VERY extraordinary (unlike THIS shade by Kiko), and an Indian dupe I could think of is shade ‘Pink Pony’ from Nykaa’s Unicorn Potion collection.  Maybelline Colorshow also has a faintly similar color (sans the pearl effect)- Pink Voltage. Both these dupe shades are cool toned, whereas Mermaid Pink by Kiko Milano is bit warm toned. Also, Kiko one has a unique pearlescent effect.
  • Wear time is 4-5 days without chipping, which is impressive.
  • This is bit expensive but the quantity is big.
  • The shade Mermaid Pink 94 has a unique elegance and can be carried off by women of all age groups. It will suit fair to medium skintones.

In the swatches below, I have worn it in 3 coats without any base color. In one of the pics I have used it as top coat over different base colors.

Base colors used (Left- Right): Kiko Power Pro 26, no base color, Kiko Power Pro 12, Kiko Power Pro11.

Kiko Glitter Metal Nail Lacquer: 002 Review & Swatch

I am a big fan of Kiko products, particularly their nailpolish which are amazing. I have many Kiko nailpolish (a part of which are shown HERE). Glitter Metal was a limited edition collection and I couldn’t take my eyes off this beautiful shade when I saw it. Kiko Glitter metal in shade 002 is too pretty not to buy.

A recent limited edition is their gorgeous Holographic nailpolish (reviewed HERE), which is the first true holographic nailpolish to get hold of in India.

Price: Rs 560 for 10 ml

Kiko Glitter Metal Nail Lacquer 002 review

  • Kiko Glitter Metal nail lacquer comes in exact same packaging as the Holographic collection (HERE). The bottle is round with removable black cap and separate brush cap.
  • Shade number and other details are at the back in form of peel off booklet (which has 6 pages btw!)
  • The brush is short and decently wide with rounded edges which helps in easy application especially around cuticles.
  • Consistency is slightly runny and pigmentation is good. It goes opaque in 2 coats.
  • It dries fast with almost no waiting time in between coats.
  • Kiko Glitter Metal nailpolish in shade 002 is a beautiful light pink-mauve color with heavy gold microglitter. It looks soft gold color with hints of pink and mauve. The gold microglitter has slightly blue holo effect and the overall color on nail appears duochrome. The blue holo is more visible in the bottle.
  • The glitter is not big and chunky. This is a subtle nailpolish color which is not too in-your-face. It is toned down shade than regular gold/metallic nailpolish colors.
  • Wear time is 4-5 days without chipping.
  • This is bit expensive but the quantity is big. Also, the shade is one of a kind which you will not find in other Indian brands.
  • The shade 002 has a unique elegance and can be carried off with women from all age groups. It will suit all Indian skintones.

Check another duochrome nailpolish which is easier on pocket  HERE

see the holo effect?

Overall, Kiko Glitter Metal nail lacquer comes in round glass bottle with two caps. The brush is short but wide enough to pick the right amount of nailpolish. The brush edges is rounded which helps in easy and mess-free application. The consistency is thin and pigmentation is good. It builds to full color in 2-3 coats. Shade 002 is a beautiful pink-mauve color with heavy gold microglitter. The glitter is not in-your-face and has holographic effect, which makes it look duochrome on nails. This is a subtle shade and will suit all Indian skintones, across all age groups. Must buy if you can get hold of it. The only con is that it is bit pricey.

xoxo, Blossom 🙂

Pssst, if you are looking for rose gold nailpolish, THIS is the shade to have.

Kiko Milano Holographic Nail Lacquer ~ 004 Review & Swatch

So we finally have a holographic nailpolish in India. *Yay* I was always tempted to get a holo nailpolish whenever I stumbled upon the gorgeous swatches of foreign brands. But the Indian brands are not truly up to the mark as compared to nailpolish game abroad. So one thing I like about Kiko Milano (which is still realtively new in Indian market) is that they launch new products in India about the same time they launch internationally. Holographic range was launched in Sept/Oct last year and I picked this beautiful purple shade 004. There are only 6 shades in this range and all the colors are pastel colored and not too bright. This is probably to bring out the holo effect more intensely.

To be honest, when I tried this nailpolish in the store I didn’t take much shine to it as I was expecting more bright colors but among the options available, this one seemed best. However, when I applied this nailpolish at home the first time, I was awestruck with its beauty. See the swatches below and you will know why.

Price: Rs 550 for 10 ml

Kiko Milano Holographic nail lacquer 004 review

Kiko Milano Holographic Nail Lacquer comes in round glass bottle with black cap. The cap is removable and the brush cap is underneath. Shade number and other details are stickered at the back in form of booklet (which has 6 pages btw!). The brush is short and not too wide but picks up enough quantity for one coat application.

Pigmentation is amazing and formula is smooth and easy to apply. It builds to full opacity in 1-2 coats, depending on how thick coats you apply. It dries fairly quickly and there is no waiting between application of  multiple coats.

Kiko Milano Holographic nail polish in shade 004 is a pastel lavender purple color with beautiful holographic microshimmer. The holo effect is heavily visible under  sunlight/ flash and faintly visible indoors. The holo effect is not in-your-face kind, but is subtle and fine.  I have taken pics under different lighting to show the depth of holo. The pics taken indoor are a tad darker than the actual color, which is pastel. Most of the pics are taken indoor in natural sunlight, unless stated otherwise.

The nailpolish stays put for 3 days without tip wear and 5 days without chipping. Price wise this is a bit expensive nailpolish, but I didn’t mind the price as I was too excited to be trying a holo nailpolish; plus the quantity is quite big.

If you are not much into holo effect and like glitter nailpolish more, do check out my favorite purple glitter nailpolish  HERE.

Do check my instagram video at the end of this post to see the Holographic effect in action.

Overall, I am in LOVE with this nailpolish! Kiko Milano holographic nailpolish comes in a sturdy, round bottle with black cap. The brush is wide and picks enough product for one coat. The pigmentation is amazing and goes fully opaque in 2-3 coats. It dries quickly and lasts 5 days without chipping.  The shade 004 is a beautiful lavender color with gorgeous holographic shimmer. The shimmer is more profound in sunlight/flash. This is the first holographic nailpolish in India and I am in love. Though I wish these came in more colors.

Kiko Nail Lacquer ~ 497 Pearly Indian Violet: Review & Swatch

Kiko is slowly becoming my favorite nailpolish brand. A visit to the Kiko Milano store means addition of at least 3-4 nailpolish in my stash. You can see my recent Kiko haul post, which mainly comprised of nailpolishes. The testers for the nailpolish makes it so much easy for the customers to try before buying a shade (something Indian brands should learn!). Price wise, these are super affordable (at par with Indian brands) but so much better in quality. Kiko Milano Nail Lacquer in shade 497 (Pearly Indian Violet) is the first nailpolish I put my eyes on and boy! what a gorgeous color it is. Gorgeous word is an understatement. I am head over heels in love with this shade.

Price: Rs 290 for 11 ml

Kiko Nail Lacquer 497 Pearly Indian Violet Review

This range of Kiko nail polish comes in a no-fuss cuboidal packaging with matte black cap. The shade number and other details are at the back in sticker leaflet (which has 6 pages btw!). Kiko doesnot have names to its shades, but only numbers. I picked the shade name for this nailpolish from its official website. The brush is long and decent. It picks enough nailpolish for one coat application. This range of Kiko nail lacquer is a good value for money with a WIDE range of color selection. This range probably has every color which you fancy.

Kiko Nail lacquer 497 Pearly Indian Violet is a BEAUTIFUL  eggplant purple color in a blue base. It looks like purple ink color with beautiful blue and burgundy shimmer.  The burgundy shimmer is more profound under natural sunlight or yellow light.  The formula and pigmentation is excellent and  1-2 coats are needed are full opacity.  Kiko nail polishes are quick drying and you don’t have to wait much before applying coats (if you apply thin coats). I tried to wear this nailpolish matted to bring out the shimmer in matte version but sadly adding a matte coat ruins the beautiful color as the shimmer is almost nonvisible after mattifying. The red shimmer is more visible in the bottle than on the nails.

Kiko nail polishes stay fairly long and I could see only a slight tip wear after 3 days (which normally starts next day itself with other nail polishes). Proper chipping started after 6-7 days which is impressive! This nailpolish has dark blue as base color which may cause staining of the nails so make sure to apply base coat underneath. Moreover, the sticker leaflet on the bottle also recommends to wear it with a base coat.

Kiko nail lacquer shade 497 (Pearly Indian Violet) is said to be a close dupe of Chanel Taboo.

Overall, I am in love with Kiko nailpolishes. This brand has become my absolute fav.  From color, to the quality, to the wear time, to the price, this nailpolish is a amazing. Shade 497 Pearly Indian Violet is a gorgeous eggplant color with blue and burgundy shimmer. The microshimmer adds depth to the overall color which looks absolutely stunning. The reddish shimmer is more visible in natural sunlight. This is a perfect Fall color and if you love to wear such deep colors, definitely check this one. This is already my fav shade and I am so glad I bought it. This shade 497 is a dupe for Chanel Taboo.

Kiko Nail Lacquer – 521 Pearly Ocean: Review & Swatch

Kiko makes really good nailpolishes at very affordable price. Nail lacquer range is the least expensive of all Kiko nailpolishes with such a HUGE (capital letters) spectrum of colors. The quality is very good and shade selection is Uh-may-zing! They have almost every color that you can wish for. I have 12 shades of this range with me as of now (which will keep on increasing depending on my visit to the store :D). You can check the other colors I picked  in my Haul Post HERE.

Price: Rs 290 for 11 ml

Kiko Nail Lacquer 521 Pearly Ocean Review

Kiko nail lacquer’s packaging reminds me of Colorbar’s previous nailpolish packaging (now they have standardized the packaging to thick square bottles). Kiko nail polish comes in cuboidal packaging with black cap. The shade number and other details are sticker-ed at the back. Kiko doesnot have names to its shades, but only numbers. I picked the shade name for this nailpolish from its official website. The brush is decent, not very thin not thick. It picks enough nailpolish for one coat application.

Kiko Nail lacquer 521 Pearly ocean is  gorgeous turquoise blue color with blue pearly shimmer. The color is super vibrant and the swatches below do not do justice to it. It has a slight pinkish-purple sheen which is not visible on the nails as such but can be seen in bottle if you look at it sideways. This gives the nailpolish a beautiful iridiscence. The consistency is slightly sheer and but goes opaque in 2-3 coats. Kiko nail polishes are quick drying and you dont have to wait much before applying coats (if you apply thin coats).

Kiko nail lacquer 521 (Pearly Ocean) being a shimmer nailpolish is smooth to apply, but takes a bit more time to remove.

Coming to the wear time, Kiko nail polishes stay fairly long and I could see only a slight tip wear after 3 days (which normally starts next day itself with other nail polishes). Proper chipping started after 6-7 days which is impressive!

I apply nailpolishes after applying a base coat so I didnot see any staining, but I have read that this particular shade may stain the nails, so apply this after using a base coat.

Pssst, The shade is more vibrant and turquoise- surf blue than the swatches below.

Overall, I am in love with Kiko nailpolishes. This brand has become my absolute fav.  From color, to the quality, to the wear time, to the price, this nailpolish is a dream. The huge shade selection will make you go crazy and whichever color your heart desires, they will most probably have it, The testers for the nailpolish makes it so much easy for the customers to try before buying a shade (something Indian brands should learn!). Price wise, these are super affordable (at par with Indian brands) but so much better in quality. Shade 521 Pearly Ocean is a vibrant turquoise blue color with blue shimmer. The color is gorgeous and I couldnot help myself looking at my hands again and again when I applied this. If you love blue on you nails, definitely check this one.
