Golden Polka Dots nail art

It has been a while since I last posted Nail art. I had the pics of this nail art lying and I thought to put it to better use 😛

I love polka dots nail art as they are easiest to do without much effort and look the funkiest. I have done other Polka dots nail art. Do check it HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

This is one super simple nail art and all you need is a bobby pin/ toothpick/ dotting tool and nailpolish of your choice.

I clicked the pics after 2-3 days I did the nail art that is why you can see tip wear on my nails.

I have used Maybelline Colorshow nailpolish in shade Bold Gold.

Zig-Zag Nail Art

zig zag nail art

It has been a long time since I last posted a nail art, and so here I am posting a nail art which has been sitting quietly for many many months in a forgotten folder somewhere in my computer. (Eeeeee!)

This was supposed to be a color block nail art of pink and yellow, but then I added a zig zag line (just like that) with a nail art pen.

My nail art pen went gloopy, that is why there are random black lines here and there :-/

See my other super easy color-block nail art HERE & HERE

Valentine’s day Nail art – Part 4

cute love nail art

Hi

I’m really high on Valentine’s nail art this time. This is the 4th part of the series. You can check others here

Valentine’s nail art Part 1

Valentine’s nail art Part 2

Valentine’s nail art Part 3

Since Valentine’s is all about love and hearts and pinks, I incorporated all of this into one nail art. I always say that white is a great base color for nail art, but I wanted to use some other color this time. So I settled on this pink and white combination.

girl boy love nail art

I wanted to make it a couple’s nail art but I had already done one before (Part-1 of series above *if you still haven’t checked it, go check it fast fast*). So being a student of biology, I drew the symbols of male and female as an alternative 😀

If you don’t know about it, male is represented by this symbol of Mars –  ♂ : a circle with an arrow pointing north-east. Female is represented by the symbol of Venus – ♀ : a circle with a small cross underneath.

I took the liberty of drawing a pink bow on the female symbol ^_^ (Okay, also to make it look like a female. Otherwise these are just weird shapes for a layman).

The black nail art pen I used went gloopy, that is why I couldn’t draw perfect circle and that is why they look alien-ish

Anyhoo, they still look pretty to me 🙂

I always always always do nail art on both my hands, no matter how shaky my left hand is. This is how my right hand mani looked. Not bad, haan.

I drew the hearts using the tips mentioned HERE. Super easy!

And finally I finished it with a glittery top coat on pink nails and some polka dot on my thumb.

Color Block Nail art

colorful nail art

Hi everyone

First of all… Happy newww year 🙂  I know I am almost a month late in wishing but better late than never, right?

So I thought of starting with this year on a rather colorful note. So here it is- *drumrolls* The Color Block nail art

Actually I did this nail art long back but somehow never posted it here. This nail art is inspired from the pic HERE. I kept the color combinations same as this is a vibrant combination and I wanted to keep it bright and colorful.

colorblock nails

This is a very simple nail art. All you need is a few colorful nailpolish, a black polish and a striping brush.

And if you don’t have a striping brush just grab an old nailpolish brush and trim it with scissors. You can also use a nail art pen if you have one.

You don’t have to be perfect while applying the basic colors. The black outline will hide the imperfect boundaries of the different colors 🙂

I have done color block nail art before as well.. check it HERE.

Nailpolishes used:

Red:  Colorbar Pro Nail Lacquer – Rosie

Mint:  Maybelline colorama – Absinto

Yellow:  Flormar Supershine – 41 (also used in THIS nailart)

Valentine day nail art

Valentine 2

Ok so this is going to be a short post. Since love is in the air, I did a Valentine’s day nail art.

I painted my nails in White base color since this is the best color as your canvas on which your imagination can run wild. I wanted to paint a boy and girl exchanging hearts.

valentine 3

I drew the hearts using a tooth pick. You can find the tutorial for drawing hearts HERE. I have used the first method out of the two given in the tutorial. Worth a read I’d say.

I drew the boy and the girl using a nail art pen. Now since the couple’s hearts exchange finished off on the 4 fingers itself, my thumb got lonely = D So I did the easiest thing. Added Polka dots. And to keep up with the theme I drew a small heart.

Nail polishes used:

White: NYC In a minute quick dry nail polish – Blanco 032

Red: Colorbar Pro nail lacquer- Rosie

I liked the mani. Hope you find it useful too.

Rose Gold nail art: Dots & Bows

rose gold nail art

So the winters in Delhi aren’t a bad deal this year. A warm sunny day is just the thing one can wish for in this frigid weather. Give me a mug of coffee (chocolate milk will do too :P) and a good novel, and I can laze about the whole day. The radiant sun in winters is enough to light up one’s mood. And so is the color Rose gold. This color is very feminine. Very pretty. And so IN these days =D

Rose gold-2

I didn’t want to do a full fledged nail art (on full 5 fingers) as it would have masked the prettiness of this color. So I decided to accent my ring finger with teeny tiny harmless dots.

Rose gold nails-1

What else to compliment with Rose gold other than Bows!

Ooh and the mark you see on my index finger is the voting ink.

rose gold-4

This nail art reminds me of a vintage-y dress. Don’t know if it is Rose gold or bows and polka dots, but it sure does ring a bell.

You can check my other Accent nail arts HERE, HERE and HERE.

Love,

Blossom 🙂

I got rainbow on my nails!

Well, not exactly rainbow but this one’s sure colorful like a real one. I wanted to do colorful nails this time and didn’t really give a thought before applying the polishes. So this one’s kinda spontaneous and done in a jiffy.

rainbow nails 2

You can notice the uneven-ness as I was out of patience that a good nail art requires 😛

rainbow nails 1

*Why, why why oh God  why I always click pictures when it starts to chip already* 😦

This nail art also tells you why one must ALWAYS apply a top coat. Girl if you don’t want such random chipping, go grab a topcoat.

rainbow nails 3

You can see how this nail art lacks tidiness but who cares when it’s still pretty… haha!

Anyhoo, you girls be patient and try to do this nail art with a steady hand. I didn’t use any nail art tools and this can be easily done free hand. Just follow the preceding curve. It need not be perfect. If you mess it up like me, don’t worry it’ll still be pretty. Happy painting 😀

Love,

Blossom 🙂
